Gender and Green Energy

SDG 5 focuses on gender equality. Thereby, providing women and girls with equal access to education, health care, decent work, and representation in political and economic decision-making processes which will fuel sustainable economies and benefit societies and humanity at large. SusWatch Kenya therefore aims to have equal representation of women and girls guided by the a third gender rule in all its project activities.

On the other hand, SDG 7 advocates for affordable and clean energy for all. As such, this thematic group focuses on household energy sources, uses of energy and adequacy of the renewable energy in target areas. We strive to ensure that the targeted population has access to affordable, reliable, clean, sustainable and modern energy sources with a bias on green energy.

This thematic group is represented in the National Steering Committee by Madam Juliet Makokha. She can be reached at jmakokha22184@yahoo.com
